Editing Your Profile 

You can edit your profile by going to your Profile page where there are options to change your name, avatar, and background (students only). There are also options to manage your password.


To get to your Profile page, click on your avatar in the top navigation bar then click the Edit Profile button.

Change Your Name



You can change any of your names on the Profile tab of the Profile page. Students can only change their name once every 30 days. Teachers can change their name as often as they like.


To change your name:

  1. Navigate to your Profile page

  2. Make a change to your name(s)

  3. Click Save Changes    

As a teacher, whenever one of your students changes their name you get a notification. You can choose to update your class roster with the student’s new name from the notification:


Change Your Avatar



You can change your avatar on the Profile tab of their Profile page.


To change your avatar:

  1. Navigate to your Profile page

  2. Click Edit Avatar

  3. Click on an avatar from the gallery

  4. Click Save Changes


Send Yourself a Password Reset Email



If you signed up for Floop with an email and password, you can send yourself a password reset email on the Login tab of the Profile page. If you signed up with Google, you’ll see a message referring you to your Google account instead.


To send a password reset email:

  1. Navigate to your Profile page

  2. Click the Login tab

  3. Click the Send Email button

  4. Check your Floop associated email and follow the instructions

  5. Use your new password the next time you log in to Floop

To change your password:

  1. Navigate to your Profile page

  2. Click the Login tab

  3. Enter your current password

  4. Enter a new password

  5. Confirm your new password by entering it again

  6. Click Submit

  7. Use your new password the next time you log in to Floop


Change Your Background (Students Only)



As a student, you can choose a different background image on the Customization tab of the Profile page.


To change your student background:

  1. Navigate to your Profile page

  2. Click the Customization tab

  3. Click Select Background

  4. Click on a background from the gallery

  5. Click Save Changes


FAQ



Will more avatar options be released in the future?

Yes! There will be new avatars available soon.


Can I use a custom avatar?

Not right now. Our avatars were designed by students just for Floop! If you’d like to design an avatar or background for Floop, talk to a parent and then open a support ticket.


I can’t click on Save Changes/Submit. What gives?

Make sure you either made a gallery selection, changed your name, or entered all the fields in the Change Your Password form before trying to click Save Changes or Submit. If you still can’t click these buttons, please open a support ticket.
